Fettish for Feathers

Jake has always had a fetish for feathers. When ever he goes Pheasant hunting with his dad he always brings home a pile of feathers to add to his "collection". Jake and Cael were getting along unusually well this day. I found Jake using water colors to paint Cael's and his face. Jake also had painted this picture. Honestly, I was in shock Jake normally can't stand to be around Cael and it has been that way since he was a baby. Unfortunately, you can see my bliss only lasted a day. The next day Jake wouldn't share something with Cael. Cael grabbed the picture off the refrigerator and said "see this Jake, I don't like you anymore and he ripped it up." Well I enjoyed the fleeting moment any way.

This Kid Loves Lotion!!!

I can't get my other boys to come within ten feet of lotion, but not Gehrig. He threw a tub of lotion off the stairs and broke it open and you can see the results.

Connor's 11th Birthday!

Connor had a steak and shrimp birthday dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson and uncle Chase on Sunday. We went to Box H and played baseball! We had a great time. Monday night on his real birthday we had the Hoopes over to roast hot dogs and s'mores and we played a game of BL ball! He is also having a friend party on Friday! Some how in this family we have a way of stretching birthday's out through the whole week. He got another BB gun since he left his out in the rain and it got ruined and some Lego's. I can't believe it has been 11 years! Where does the time go?

Simple pleasures!

It does not take much to make an 18 month year old happy. Some wise nurse once told me all you need with boys is mud, a stick and a washing machine. So true. Mark turned the water on just in case his fire in the ravine got out of control. I wouldn't call it hose weather. The sun was setting and it was probably 50 degrees. I would like to see anyone just try to keep this little boy away from that hose. I gave in and was soon running for the house to get my camera. Mark and I sat watching and laughing so hard. I probably have 60 pictures of this moment and they are hilarious. Gehrig would stick is hand in the water or accidentally turn it toward him and it would take his breath away. After he would recover he would start laughing so hard. What a cute age and what a sweet little boy!

Jake's Baptism

Grandma and grandpa Johnson, aunt Kristy and Amber came and spent the night. After Jake's baptism we had a dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson, also. Grandma and Grandpa Johnson gave him a set of scriptures. Every time we turned around he was reading them. He read a total of two hours through out the weekend. He is still reading them for homework every night.

So proud of you Jake.
So hard to get a picture of all the boys together and smiling and looking at the camera! This is as good as it gets.
